Groups give cars to some needy families in Atlanta
ATLANTA - Some low-income families in the metro Atlanta area will receive a special holiday gift Saturday.
For the first year, The Atlanta chapter of the Bloc Burnaz Motorcycle Club and the Fountain of Hope organization have partnered to give out several cars.
Organizers told FOX 5 the families were pre-selected because of their income status as well as their willingness to help other needy families through programs sponsored by the Fountain of Hope. The organization provides food, health screenings and clothing each month to dozens of families in the Bankhead community. During the Christmas season, the group also gives toys to thousands of children.
The car giveaway event starts at noon at the Fountain of Hope on 829 Hollywood Road NW in Atlanta.
