Groom dives into gulf to save drowning swimmer
A groom is being credited with saving a struggling swimmer just moments after his beach wedding on the gulf coast.
Zac and Cindy Edwards had just said "I do" when a woman ran up to them and said a man was drowning during their photo shoot.
Zac used his lifeguard and coast guardsman skills to rush in to help. He reached the struggling swimmer as first responders arrived at the scene to pull them in.
"She said, 'Don't worry about your pants, just go,'" Zac said about his wife. "You've got to listen to your wife because otherwise, you're in trouble."
"It's scary and you don't want to lose a loved one, and unfortunately, living here, we hear about it way too often," Cindy said. "Just be mindful of those flags and knowing to be cautious."
The couple said they spoke to the young man's family and he is thankfully doing fine.
