Good News at Gas Pumps Should Continue, Say Experts

COBB COUNTY, Ga. - You may have come up empty in the recent Powerball. Yet, there is another numbers board calculating the price of gas that has been kind to everyone.

For 57 of the last 60 days, prices in the state have gone down. Since April of 2014, a full two bucks have been shaved off the price which is averaging just over $1.80 cents for regular. But there are some stations offering a gallon for less than that.

Garrett Townsend, of AAA auto club, predicts prices will drop another 10 cents in the coming weeks. We may not see anything significant in the way of an increase until the Atlanta metro counties convert to the so-called summer gas starting in April. It's necessary to comply with environmental standards.
