Gilmer County Sheriff's sergeant arrested on assault charges
GILMER COUNTY, Ga. - A Gilmer County Sheriff's sergeant is facing rape and assault charges.
Agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation along with deputies arrested Greg McClure Friday and booked him in the Gilmer County Jail.
Sheriff Stacy Nicholson said McClure was not on duty when the alleged incidents occurred.
He was charged with two counts of aggravated sodomy and one count of assault.
