Look who's found a new home!

A gigantic Scottish rabbit named Atlas found a new home.  Atlas, who is the size of a dog, was put up for adoption after his owner was no longer able to look after him.

Atlas became a global celebrity after the Scottish SPCA appealed to find him a new owner and received hundreds of applications from people around the world. Anna O’Donnell, manager of our rescue center in Glasgow, said, “We were absolutely overwhelmed by the response to our re-homing appeal for Atlas and we had hundreds of calls and emails from people all over the world, including America, Canada and France.

“We're delighted to share the news that he has been re-homed by bunny lover Jen Hislop from Ayrshire,” announced Scottish SPCA.

“I burst into tears when I got the phone call saying I had been chosen to re-home Atlas and I cried again when I collected him,” said Hislop. "Animals are just pets to some people but my rabbits are family members.”

Atlas even has his own pet stroller so both mother and daughter can take him out and about.

"I’ve decided to change his name to Atilla the Bun Binky Master Jazz Paws, but I think we’ll call him Atty for short!"
