Giant alligator takes rest on roadside in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Everyone needs to take a break sometimes, even alligators.

A giant alligator was spotted lounging about on the on Highway 707 in Myrtle Beach Sunday.

South Carolina Department of Natural Resources tweeted that the alligator was about 11-feet long and was found on Highway 707 near Tournament Boulevard.

The large reptile wasn't bothering anyone and was just taking a rest. The alligator was safely removed without any reported injuries.
