School districts across metro Atlanta and North Georgia are closely monitoring the potential for snow and ice on Friday. Some schools have opted to close their doors altogether or transition to an online learning day. The timing of the storm plays a big factor in the decision.

All of North Georgia and parts of cental Georgia will be under a Winter Storm Watch beginning on Friday and continuing through Saturday.
