GBI investigating officer-involved shooting in South Georgia

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been asked to investigate an officer-involved shooting in South Georgia.

It happened inside Navicent Health Baldwin in Milledgeville, according to investigators.

Agents with the GBI said two hospital officers got into a fight with a man and at some point, the man was shot.

That man was taken to another hospital to be treated.

Investigators have not said what started the argument.

The Milledgeville Police Department is assisting the GBI.

The hospital quickly reopened after a brief lockdown.
