Ga. Man Shot in San Bernardino Attack Laid to Rest

JESUP, Ga. - Family and friends gathered this Saturday to bid farewell to a Georgia native killed in a mass shooting in San Bernardino, California.

Shannon Johnson, 45, was among 14 victims in the massacre that occurred on December 2.

Johnson lived in Los Angeles. He died heroically as he acted as a shield for a co-worker who survived the shooting, according to the Rinehart and Sons funeral home. 

Johnson's funeral was held this Saturday at the Calvary Baptist Church in Jesup, Georgia. A visitation preceded the memorial service.
