Funeral services for fallen Peach County deputy

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. - One of the two Peach County deputies who were murdered in the line of duty was laid to rest Thursday.

Funeral services took place in Warner Robbins for Sergeant Patrick Sondron.

The pastor read a letter from Sondron's wife that described him as a wonderful husband and wonderful father to their three children.

Sondron and Deputy Daryl Smallwood were shot as they responded to a dispute between neighbors in Byron. A Byron police officer shot the alleged shooter.

Stanley Elrod was arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault.
