Forsyth Deputies Search for Walmart Robbery Suspects

Investigators hope surveillance photos will help them track down a pair of robbery suspects.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, a man walked into the Walmart on Peachtree Parkway in Cumming with a black handgun and walked out with cash around 11 p.m. Wednesday. He wore a blue and white surgical mask during the crime.

"The male suspect confronted store employees who were collecting money from the cash registers," explained Corporal Peter Sabella.

The man fired one bullet into the floor, said Sabella, before he left the store and got into a black sedan with a female driver.  Investigators believe the car may have been a Toyota.

Deputies released a second surveillance photo of a woman they believe acted as a lookout for the operation.  Investigators said she left the Walmart immediately after the crime.

Forsyth County officials said the FBI has opened an investigation into the suspects. They believe the man and woman may be responsible for similar crimes at Walmart locations all over Georgia.

"Obviously we want to catch these individuals before this happens again," Cpl. Sabella said.

Anyone who has information about the suspects should call Detective Tyler Sexton at 770-781-2200.
