Local businesses banded together Friday to provide all of Forsyth County's public safety to an appreciation meal.

This is the 4th annual appreciation meal day that takes place every September 11th.  “It’s all about our first responders and we want to thank them for all they do for us,” said Brenda Howell, Business Development Manager.

Every employee at Billy Howell Ford prepared homemade food options for the responders that included coleslaw, pasta salad, beans and desserts.

“The support from Billy Howell Ford means so much to all of our deputies and the community supports us,” Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Regan said.  “Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious and it was a very nice meal.”

“We do this because it gives all of the responders a chance to sit down together throughout the day and we wait on them,” said Howell.

The local businesses were prepared to feed up to 300 responders to attend the annual appreciation meal from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Forsyth’s sheriff, fire, ambulance/EMS, 911 call center, City of Cumming Police Department, Forsyth county jail and water patrol are all invited.
