Former Dawson County detention officer arrested

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. - A former Dawson County detention officer was arrested accused of having an intimate relationship with an inmate.

Luciano Betancourt resigned last month when the allegations first surfaced.

Betancourt was arrested Tuesday on a felony charge of violation of his oath as a public officer.
