Flood Watch Until Wednesday Evening

Atlanta, Ga - Rain will continue to spread across north Georgia tonight with the heaviest rain occurring over metro Atlanta by the Wednesday morning rush hour. Some locations could see up to 2" by the time it ends late Wednesday morning. A Flood Watch is in effect until Wednesday evening while a Flood Warning is in effect until 10:45 am for the northwest corner of the state. People living along streams and creeks should be on the lookout for quickly rising water, and commuters should exercise caution when traveling Wednesday morning. Once the rain ends and the cold front moves through the sun will return along with winds out of the northwest of 10-15 mph. Temperatures will drop through the 50's by late afternoon along with a colder night with lows in the upper 30's to lower 40's by Thursday Morning. Dry weather will dominate through the weekend with the next chance of rain coming our way next Monday.
