Five Buckhead Homes Hit by Burglars

A north Atlanta neighborhood president has a phrase for the most recent crimes in her neighborhood. Holiday burglaries are what Taryn Bowman calls the incidents.

Atlanta police got calls to a total of five homes; at least some believed to be linked to the same pair of thieves.

On a street in the Mt. Paran neighborhood, thieves broke a patio window to gain entry. The noise wasn't heard because of the amount of acreage surrounding all the homes of million dollar addresses.

Unfortunately for those residents, the alarm did not function, leaving the criminals with lots of time to take jewelry, electronics, cash and a premium camera before they departed. Neighbors captured a maroon or possible red SUV from an adjacent surveillance camera system leaving the driveway, according to police officials.

They were not able to provide a detailed description, only two white male occupants.

A few miles from that Mt. Paran neighborhood, three more homes on Skyland Drive were broken into. In all three cases, thieves targeted the family silver collection.
