Five arrested after crash involving stolen vehicle

Five people were arrested after a stolen vehicle crashed in southeast Atlanta Monday morning, according to Atlanta Police. 

Officers responded to a car theft along Ralph McGill Boulevard around 10 a.m. Monday after a black Jeep Cherokee was taken.

The stolen vehicle was later spotted on Wylie Street Southeast, and officers attempted to pull it over, but the Jeep took off. 

Georgia State Patrol troopers pursued the Jeep, which ended up wrecking with another vehicle near Glenwood Avenue and Blake Avenue. 

Five people were arrested following the crash.

The people in the other car involved in the wreck were alert, conscious and breathing.
