Firefighters rescue Atlanta man from blaze, explosions

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Firefighters rescued an Atlanta man after his apartment caught on fire.

The rescue happened Sunday night at an apartment complex on Harwell Place in northwest Atlanta.

Firefighters told FOX 5 when they arrived they heard a series of explosions.

The blasts were coming from oxygen tanks inside the man's home.

Still, firefighters were able to get in and bring the 60-year-old man to safety.
