Firefighters: Reports of fire at downtown Atlanta hotel

ATLANTA - A busy hotel in downtown Atlanta was forced to evacuated Monday afternoon after a report of a fire.

The Marriott Marquis on Peachtree Center Avenue was evacuated just before 5 p.m. Monday.

Firefighters said they responded to reports that a linen shoot had caught on fire.

The extent of the fire or damage it may have caused was not immediately known.

No one was reported injured during the fire.
