Father, adult daughter attacked with machete
FORESTDALE, Ala. (AP) - A man has been arrested after a father and daughter he was living with were stabbed with a machete.
AL.com reports (http://bit.ly/2oWhSBa ) that Chief Deputy Randy Christian of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a report of a stabbing around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday and found a man and his adult daughter suffering from cuts and stab wounds.
Both victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but are expected to survive.
Christian says deputies arrested a man on the scene who had lived with the family for several years and had been asked earlier this week to move out. The name of the suspect is being withheld pending the filing of formal charges of attempted murder and second-degree assault.
