Fans react to Julio Jones training camp decision

ATLANTA - Fans have very different takes on Falcons star receiver Julio Jones's decision to miss training camp.

"He's hurting the Falcons right now," said former Georgia Tech and NFL quarterback Joe Hamilton on his radio show, "Hometown and Hamilton" Tuesday on The Sports X. "Now he's doubling down. Now I think he's really pouting and really crying even louder that, 'I'm not [going to] play.'" 

Co-host "Hometown" Brandon Leak is a season ticket holder and said he does not know what Jones is thinking.

"Hopefully this will come to an end. Hopefully he will come to his senses and hopefully, we'll have #11 running around on the field catching touchdowns for the Atlanta Falcons," Leak said. 

Outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium, fans were a little more forgiving of the star athlete.

"You gotta do what you gotta do," said Alex Edwards. "Get your money."  

Training camp begins Thursday.
