Family from Newnan reunites with lost dog
NEWNAN, Ga. - A beloved family pet feared dead was reunited with her family Thanksgiving weekend.
Frankie, a 14-year-old Miniature Pinscher, got away from her pet sitter in Newnan back in September. The pet sitter told the family the dog had escaped, been hit by a car, died and that she had buried the dog.
Turns out, Frankie had only suffered a broken pelvis.
According to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue in Alpharetta, Clayton County Animal Control spotted the suffering pup on the side of the road. Angels Among Us transported the senior pup to receive emergency medical treatment.
In addition to nursing the dog back to health, Angels Among Us covered her medical expenses.
Frankie reunited with her loved ones Sunday afternoon.
