Falcons owner thanks Georgia General Assembly for Super Bowl
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - It was a super success. That was message Thursday members of the Georgia General Assembly recognized Falcons owner Arthur Blank and the Atlanta Super Bowl Host Committee for a job well done on Super Bowl LIII.
The city of Atlanta hosted the game earlier this month for the first time in nearly two decades and by all accounts, the event was well-received.
Blank told lawmakers this morning that he just received a letter from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell this week who called the game "about perfect."
Blank thanked the General Assembly as well as the governor and other state leaders for their help in making the Super Bowl possible.
