'Extreme Weight Loss' star and metro Atlanta resident Brandi Mallory dead at 40

Realty TV star and Clark Atlanta graduate Brandi Mallory died in Stone Mountain on Nov. 9, according to People Magazine.

ATLANTA - Social media is reacting to the death of reality star and Clark Atlanta graduate Brandi Mallory.

People Magazine reports she died in Stone Mountain on Nov. 9.

Mallory gained popularity online after losing 150 pounds on "Extreme Weight Loss" in 2014.

She later started a podcast about her weight-loss journey.

Mallory was 40 years old. Her cause of death has not been revealed.
