A Delta airlines employee is recovering after a baggage vehicle collided with a plane.

It happened around 8 p.m. Thursday night as Delta flight 1276 from Atlanta to Syracuse was taxiing to its arrival gate at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Delta officials said a ground baggage tug vehicle came in contact with the forward landing gear of the Boeing MD-88 as it was pulling into the gate. The tug operator suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital as a precaution.

Passengers deplaned and took buses to Concourse B.

The plane was towed off the taxiway and underwent an inspection.

Delta said it is investigating the incident and will conduct a full review of their response.

None of the passengers were injured.
