Electronic applications for quota hunts in Georgia open soon.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Wildlife Resources Division says electronic applications will open Thursday.

A quota hunt is a scheduled event on a state-managed property that allows for a set number of hunters that area.

Quota hunts are available for deer, alligators, waterfowl, doves and many other animals. Hunters who are selected must have the proper licenses to participate. Application deadlines vary depending on the type of hunt.
