Prom season is in full swing and police in East Point are making sure safety is the minds of all who are celebrating this year.

Police worked with Tri-Cities High School to host a Safe Prom Campaign.

The campaign teaches students about the deadly decisions some teens have made on prom night.

Tuesday, organizers spoke to students about the effects of drinking and driving.

Statistics show three hundred students died in the United States last year in alcohol-related accidents during prom season.
