Duluth police rescue runaway peacock in tree
DULUTH, Ga. - Police officers in Duluth made an unusual rescue Monday morning.
On Sunday, a homeowner called the Duluth Police Department about his escaped pet. But this was no dog or cat. It was a peacock.
The officers attempted to capture the feathered runaway but had no success.
On Monday morning they tried again after discovering the bird was stuck in a tree.
After climbing a ladder, homeowner and the officers were able to rescue the bird.
She's now safe and sound back with her owner.
