Driver Smashes into Building, 3 Hospitalized

ATLANTA - FOX 5 News has learned three people are in the hospital after a car slammed into an apartment building in southwest Atlanta. 

It happened late Monday night. 

Atlanta Fire Rescue said the car got off Interstate 20 at Fulton Street and skidded right into the building at the corner of McDaniel Street. 

The crash caused serious damage to two of the apartments in the building. 

A woman who lives in one unit was hospitalized for head injuries.

Two children who live upstairs were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital as a precaution.

The driver of the car fled the crash scene.
