Two cars collide, sending one out of control and into a business in Mableton.  One person was killed in the Sunday evening wreck, another is in the hospital with serious injuries.

Surveillance video shows a 2003 red Mitsubishi Lancer skidding sideways, then slamming into a building.  The crash knocked out the entire front wall of the "Eye Am Beauty" shop.

Cobb County Police say the driver of the Mitsubishi was traveling west Veterans Memorial Highway in the left lane and was attempting to pass a gray 2013 Dodge Journey, just as the driver of the Dodge was switching to the left lane.  The two cars collided which sent the Mitsubishi out of control.

Police say the driver of the Mitsubishi, 22-year-old Raymun Valdovinos of Lithia Springs died on the scene, his passenger 39-year old Luis Hernandez is in Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Dodge, 42-year-old Teri Gregory of Alabama was transported to Wellstar Cobb Hospital with minor injuries.

Maggie Hilario and Pamela Daniel were working nearby when they heard the crash.  They ran out of their office to see if they could help.

"I see the car was flipped over and there was people inside.  There were people trying to get the people out but they realized the injuries were too serious," said Hilario.

Medics rushed to the crash in the 800 block of Veterans Memorial Highway.

"You had all the police and fire trucks and ambulance everybody was outside it was too much going on for traffic, so they cut the traffic off," said Daniel.

Inside the shop, the floor is covered with glass and dirt, walls and doors are damaged.  Fortunately, no one was inside at the time.

"Part of the shop was ripped open so God knows what would have happened," said Hilario.
