The driver of a car that crashed into a MARTA bus stop last month killing two people and injuring a third man is now facing charges.

Warrants were issued for Teresa Rains Fitzsimons on two counts of homicide by vehicle and three traffic violations stemming from the crash on March 17. The evening wreck happened along Alpharetta Street near Fraser Street. Roswell Police said Fitzsimons was driving southbound when she tried to pass a MARTA bus, but lost control, veering into the stop.

Curtis Freeman, 55, of Roswell, was killed at the scene. Larsharon Clark, 41, of Columbus, was rushed to the hospital and later died. Police said a third man, Elfego M. Solano-Vazquez, was also rushed to the hospital and is recovering.

A judge issued a $15,000 bond for Fitzsimons.
