Drive-by Shooting Injures 7-year-Old Girl

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A 7-year-old girl was shot in the leg overnight in what police are calling a drive by shooting.

The girl, identified as Kayla Sicrine, was in her bedroom when gunfire rang out at the Paradise East complex in the 1500 block of Bouldercrest Road. The girl was rushed to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. She's expected to survive, and at last check was listed in stable condition.

Detectives said multiple weapons were used in the attack that left bullet holes in the building.  A trail of shell casings lead from that building to the exit of the complex.

The drive-by shooting took place at same complex where a man was gunned down just under a month ago. Investigators said it's way too early to know if the crimes are all related.
