Twenty-six dogs that were removed from a residence on Franklin Goldmine Road in Forsyth County in early February will be available for adoption at the Forsyth County Animal Shelter beginning Saturday, April 2.

The 12 puppies and 14 adults are Chihuahua-Jack Russell terrier mixes. The manager of the Forsyth County Animal Shelter said they’ve been seen by a veterinarian and are doing well.

The dogs have been housed at the shelter since being removed from the home last month. A March 24 court order enabled officials to start preparing the animals for adoption.

Prospective owners can view the dogs 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the shelter, 4065 County Way.  The adoption fees at the shelter are $85.00 per animal.
