Deputies: Pregnant woman at home shot through wall

Deputies are investigating a shooting in East Macon that sent a pregnant woman to the hospital Tuesday night.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened in the 200 block of Bradstone Circle at 11:44 p.m.

According to deputies, a 30-year-old pregnant woman was at home getting ready for bed with her 37-year-old husband and 5-year-old daughter when an unknown gunman shot into their house.

One of the bullets struck the woman in the back.

Medics rushed her to a nearby hospital for treatment. She is now in stable condition.

No one else was injured in the shooting, police said.

Officials have not yet identified a suspect or any suspected vehicles.
