Deputies: Man Sideswiped Patrol Car
HALL COUNTY, Ga. - Investigators released the photo of a man they are looking for in connection to a deputy-involved crash on Saturday.
It started at the Racetrac at Highway 365 and Howard Road just before 3 p.m. Deputies said they tried to talk with the man, they identified as Cody Jett, 24, of Gainesville, on outstanding warrant. Instead, deputies said Jett took off, swiping another car on the way out of the parking lot. Deputies pursued Jett.
Deputies said Jett ended up pushing a patrol car into a guardrail on Highway 365 near Cagle Road. Deputies lost sight on Jett at this point. The deputy was not injured.
Jett was a last seen driving a black 1999 Honda Accord with extensive body damage. He is wanted on Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer and Hit and Run in addition to the outstanding warrant for fleeing and eluding out of Forsyth County.
