Deputies: fight call turns into shooting

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. - Deputies in Paulding County said several people were taken into custody following a fight which turned into a shooting Monday afternoon.

It happened in the 8400 block of Dallas Acworth Highway just before 3 p.m. The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office said one person was shot, but their wounds do not appear life-threatening.

Investigators said the shooting does not appear random and may stem from a land dispute.

The name of the victims and those in custody have not yet been released.
