Deputies: Drug sting in Gwinnett County nets 185 pounds of marijuana

NORCROSS, Ga. - More than 185 pounds of marijuana are off the streets of Gwinnett County after deputies said they made a major bust Tuesday.

Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office’s Investigative Services Division arrested Mauro Zaldivar, 31, and Bernardo Saenz, 40, on drug trafficking charges. The sting happened in the 6100 block of Dawson Boulevard in Norcross.

Investigators said the two were involved in high-volume marijuana sales in Norcross. Deputies said the drugs have an estimated street value of more than $100,000.

Zaldivar and Saenz were booked into the Gwinnett County Jail and are being held without bond.
