HARALSON COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Tragic news from Haralson County deputies Thursday night after officials said they believe they found the body of a missing man.
Timothy Robert Jones, 53, was last seen Sunday at 9 p.m. in the 700 block of Candy Kitchen Road in Temple, Georgia. A Mattie’s Call, Georgia’s emergency missing alert for disabled or elderly persons, was activated for him.
Haralson County deputies said Jones was diagnosed with advanced-stage Parkinson's disease and had been hallucinating that someone is out to hurt him.
Thursday, officials said a body was found in a lake not far from his home. The identification in his pocket indicates it was Jones, but due to the condition the body was found in, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab will need to make positive identification.
