Demonstrators show support for proposed cities in DeKalb County
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Will DeKalb County be adding some new cities within in its limits?
That's what a group of residents are fighting for.
A number of demonstrators from the northern part of DeKalb County want to be able to vote on a measure to create the city of Vista Grove.
They marched to the State Capitol Monday to urge legislators to support a bill to hold a referendum on the proposed city.
The Vista Grove demonstrators met up with a group of supporters for Greenhaven, a proposed city in the southern part of DeKalb County who say they're facing similar challenges and want a referendum as well.
