Atlanta residents are now calling on the mayor and city council to take action and improve road safety.

This comes in the wake of two e-scooter deaths in the city.

The most recent happened just last week in midtown on West Peachtree Street and 15th Street.

That's where a group of protestors gathered Wednesday to demand change.

Demonstrators said they want city leaders to find funding for designated "light individual lanes or "LIT" lanes.

According to the Department of Transportation, Atlanta’s Fifth Congressional District is the 13th most dangerous district for pedestrians in the United States.
