Delivery driver ambushed in Grant Park neighborhood

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Five men ambush a female commercial driver as she was unloading pharmaceuticals to deliver to a CVS store in Atlanta.

One of the men pulled a weapon, police say. She along with a co-worker who jumped out of the van were unharmed.

Part of the robbing crew sped away in the van but Atlanta investigators say they did not get far.

The van struck a utility pole a few blocks away. The lawbreakers bailed out and have not been found.

The vehicle that all five were in originally was also located abandoned.

It's not known whether the delivery driver was targeted for any of the drug contents inside the van. That will be one of the questions as investigators review any items that may have been taken.
