DeKalb's top cop headed to Chicago?

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County's top law enforcement officer may head to the Chicago Police Department.

Dr. Cedric Alexander has made the list of top three finalists for the police superintendent's job. Three years ago, Dr. Alexander was hired as DeKalb County's police chief.

The county later promoted him to director of public safety, a move which commissioners made to keep him from leaving the county.
