DeKalb Police search for four suspects after chase, crash

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Police continue to search for the four suspects who stole a car and lead officers on a chase in a south DeKalb County neighborhood Sunday.

Investigators said four men stole a minivan as part of an armed robbery. When officers spotted the stolen vehicle and tried to stop it, the driver sped off, leading them on a chase.  The suspects ran off after crashing the van into a yard on Conley Downs Lane.

"I was at the front window when I heard the police," explained one neighbor who lives across the street from the crash scene. "That van crashed into that red car.  So, when the boys ran, one of them ran past my window."

Neither the van nor the red car parked at the home appeared to have sustained major damage.

The neighbor who witnessed the crash said one of the four suspects ran right next to her window.  She said they all appeared to be teenagers.

"It's just ridiculous, but you know, these young people these days don't have the proper guidance. If they was to have the proper guidance, they wouldn't get in this trouble," she said.
