DeKalb County school teacher charged with battery
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A DeKalb County school teacher faces battery charges and school officials confirm the incident in question involved a student.
Officials say the ordeal happened Friday at Miller Grove Middle School.
Parents say their children witnessed a confrontation in the cafeteria between 45-year-old math teacher Kendrick Monroe and a seventh grade student.
Official say Monroe was removed from school that day and booked into the DeKalb County Jail.
He's now reportedly on paid administrative leave.
