Dawson County Child Killed in House Fire

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. - FOX 5 News has learned a child died in a house fire Wednesday night. Firefighters were called out to a mobile home located in the 140 block of Davis Road around 10:15 p.m.

Four people were inside when the blaze started, but three of them were able to get out on their own. Responders located an 11-year-old boy inside the home. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

One of the other victims was treated for smoke inhalation and is listed in stable condition. 

The home, which is located about 5 miles outside of Dawsonville, is considered a total loss, according to Dawson County Emergency Services.
