Coweta County Pharmacist Arrested for Stealing Drugs
COWETA COUNTY, Ga. - A Coweta County pharmacist was arrested on charges he stole drugs, but when police booked him, officers found a surprise and it was all caught on surveillance video.
Robert Stitt was arrested for allegedly stealing drugs and taken to the Coweta County Jail. Deputies would later find prescription pills in his pocket. Deputies said they also found two baggies containing seven and a half pills including Tylenol 3, which contains a narcotic.
Stitt was arrested after deputies said he took about 600 Tylenol 3 pills since last summer. He told investigators he was suffering from back and leg pain. The pharmacist admitted to investigators that he had counted pills into prescription bottles and then placed his wife’s name on the bottles.
Stitt was given additional charges for trying to bring drugs into the jail.
