Coweta County girl on life support following car crash
COWETA COUNTY, Ga. - A Coweta County family is hoping for a Christmas miracle after a terrible car crash over the weekend.
“I was about to make a left-hand turn but then we got in a head-on collision,” Amber Hendrix said. “I looked in the backseat and my daughter’s lips were blue and she was slumped over.”
Seven-year-old Aubree Kinney is currently at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. Aubree broke her neck and severely damaged her spinal cord.
“She was without a pulse and without oxygen for minutes,” Hendrix said. “She has brain damage and doctors believe best case scenario she will be a quadriplegic.”
Hendrix told FOX 5 News immediately following the crash a woman rushed to help her daughter. Now she’s searching for that woman.
“A blonde woman came over when she didn’t have to. Most other people didn’t stop, but she did. I want to find her to tell her 'thank you for saving my daughter’s life,'” Hendrix said. “I won’t ever stop looking for her.”
