Cobb County Commissioner Collapses during Meeting

COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Cobb County Commissioner Lisa Cupid collapsed during Thursday night’s board meeting.

The members were discussing the controversy surrounding a Cobb County Police officer accused of racial profiling. During a traffic stop last month, dash cam video picked up Officer Maurice Lawson telling a black motorist “I don’t care about your people.” Cupid was also accused of racial profiling in a separate incident this summer, but he was clear in that case.

Commissioner Cupid was treated at the commission chamber and then returned to the meeting.
