Clayton County corrections officer fired, facing charges

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - A Clayton County Sheriff's corrections officer was fired from the force Friday and now is facing charges.

Officer Rufus Webb, Jr. was relieved of his duty after authorities said he hit an inmate who was handcuffed.

The sheriff issued a statement reading "this conduct violates the core values of the sheriff's office.”
