City of Forsyth payroll clerk charged with identity fraud, theft by taking
FORSYTH, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A payroll clerk for the city of Forsyth is now charged with identity fraud and theft by taking.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Mary Linda Black unlawfully accessed a former city employee's checking account information and used it to make purchases and payments.
The city of Forsyth has notified its employees and is now advising that they review their bank accounts for any abnormalities.
