Church holds special prayer for brothers killed in crash

Gwinnett County - A Gwinnett County church will hold a special prayer and gathering Sunday in light of the recent deaths of two teenage brothers.

Jared Brown, 17, and his 15-year-old brother, Jaison, died from injuries sustained after a car crash Friday.

The two brothers were on their way to Dacula High School when, authorities say, Jared made a left turn and collided with an oncoming car.

Lead Pastor Kevin Harris of the Lawrenceville Church of God tells FOX 5 the Brown family attends his church.

Harris plans to pray for them during a service Sunday morning.

"The parents, Paul and Merrill Brown, are grateful for all the prayers and support for their family," Harris says in a statement.

Harris will speak with the media before the service.
